Coach’s Eye

This app is a video app in which you can record videos to evaluate your athlete’s performance. You can review them in slow motion, use the tools to draw and visually address mistakes in technique, and even share it through a variety of avenues such as email, Facebook, text message, and more. Personally I have found this app very helpful as a visual resource for tumblers and also in correcting body alignment in stunts. You can also import videos from your camera roll, or other storage places, as well as compare progress videos side by side.

coachapps3Ubersense

This app is very similar to the Coach’s Eye app and used for the same purpose. This app is free and a great one to try prior to purchasing Coach’s Eye, or even use instead of Coach’s Eye, if you are simply looking for a free video tool with some basic features. There are drawing tools on this app as well. One feature I really like in this app is the multiple slow-mo speeds and frame by frame action playback.

coachapps6Cheer RX

This is a convenient skills app by CheerBandz with tons of useful features. There are drills broken down for skills at every level (1-5), and a section specifically for jumps. This app also contains a Notes feature for jotting down pertinent information while training, a section for the USASF Rules, Program Development tips, Events, and multiple sharing opportunities.

coachapps5All Star Cheer Sites

This app by Jason Silverman is useful for any cheer coach looking to improve their business. My favorite part of this app are the Podcasts with exciting subject matter from marketing to financial to general business development and success. There is something for every entrepreneur in this app.
