There is a new gym in town!  Affinity Elite All-Stars in Hudson, Florida is entering their second year and they have a lot to be proud of.  It is their mission to instill a sense of pride, integrity, dedication and hard work in their athletes as they become community leaders. Their athletes strive to help promote and uphold the spirit of the community while developing a sense of good sportsmanship within the competitive cheer world. We are featuring Affinity Elite to assure cheer parents every where that you don’t have to be at the hottest cheerlebrity gym in town for your child to have an experience of a life time.

unnamedWhen interviewing Ashley Richardson, Co-Owner, I asked her what competitions her teams have attended and how did they placed?  Ashley’s answer to this question was endearing,  “We try not to focus on placement at competions and focus on our athletes hitting their routine and feeling good about themselves after they walk off the competition floor.”  What a great outlook on a sport that is highly competitive!  There is no better way to build self-esteem than to have your team feel accomplished after hitting their routine.

With that being said, I looked into the awards Affinity Elite’s athletes achieved this past year and their teams have done very well for a first year gym attending some highly competitive competitions such as NCA, Battle by the Bay and Jamfest!  I think Ashley was being quite modest when speaking about the successes her athletes have achieved.  It takes alot of hard work to open a new gym let alone succeed on the mat.  Placements were outstanding last season and they are very proud of their athletes.

They have very strong core values in their program and pride themselves on holding their athletes to high standards, on and off the mat. They want their kids to be community leaders. Some of thier core values are integrity, trust, loyalty, respect and dedication.  Dedication breeds success.  Their athletes practice twice a week with their teams during the summer and most come in 2 to 3 days additional to practice on their own or for classes/private lessons.  Most of the affinityathletes also fundraise nearly every weekend to make it possible for them to cheer.  Working for what you want and achieving it must be a great feeling for these athletes who work so hard to do what they love….Allstar Cheer.
There is not a better way to be successful than to have a great group of parents who head up the booster club that the athletes have the privilege of being apart of. The Booster Club does fundraisers to help benefit the community like selling candy bars for The Ronald McDonald House.  Values, pride and integrity start at home and translate to their second home; the gym.
This is Affinity Allstars second season, growing from only 20 to 50 athletes in just about one year.  With the support of their dedicated coaching staff, Affinity has a bright future.  Ashley praised her staff’s committment to their kid success.  “As coaches, this is our second home.”, said Ashley.  You know you have made it when you feel that kind of love and committment to the teams.
